The Lycian Trail Walk Once you land in Antalya, you will be greeted by our crew and directly transported to the ancient city of Phaselis through a 90-minute ride. After you have arrived, you will have some free time to explore this wondrous settlement before your 3-km warm-up trek to Cinbiz bay for a lunch picnic. Once we are through with lunch, we will hop on our ride for a short drive to the beginning of our Lycian trail; heading to Asagi Kuzudere on a 4-km path. After visiting an astonishing Roman bridge on our way, we finally arrive in the authentic coastal village of Yayla Kuzudere where we will be staying overnight.

The Lycian Trail Walk We rise up quite early in the morning, so we can take the advantage and begin our ascension on Tahtali Mountain – standing 2365 meters tall. On our way to the top, we trek among a gorgeous collective of green; as the mountain is covered in various types of trees including cedar and juniper. Along our route, we catch clear sights of wonderful panoramas and glimpses of soaring birds of prey. Afterwards, we descend down to Beycik where we will meet up with our driver for the short ride towards the coastal village of Chirali. Upon settling down, we will stay overnight here. If you feel like you still have enough energy left, you can take an evening walk up to the Chimera for a night cap to top it off.

The Lycian Trail Walk After a beautiful Turkish village breakfast, we take a brief walk at the beach to greet the sunrise and take some photos. Then our vehicle picks us up for the transfer to Adrasan, where we will begin the trek from Gelidonia Lighthouse. Our walk on this short-change path will take us through forests of tree species particular to the mountainous Mediterranean; just like pines bay trees and carobs. Every so often, we will come across stunning views of the coast over the islands. Our vehicle will be waiting in Karaoz for our 2-hour ride to Ucagiz, where we will take a short boat cruise around the sunken ruins of the ancient city of Kekova. Afterwards, you will have enough time for a swimming break before dinner and overnight.

The Lycian Trail Walk Today’s trek will begin right at our doorstep as we walk from Ucagiz towards inland, where we will slide through the farmlands with charming village houses on the horizon every now and then. As the track offers us ever-changing ups and downs, we will get the chance to gaze upon many breath-taking views of the coast. Once we are past the half-island Sicak, we will arrive at the ancient settlement of Aperlae – which once was a prosperous, fortified city. We will allocate some time for exploration here, before we ascend towards yet another ancient city, Appolonia; where we will meet our vehicle in order to be transferred to Kalkan through an incredibly scenic, coastal route. There, we will have our late afternoon tea break and dinner before overnight stay.

Lycian Trail Walk After breakfast, we will go on a short walk in Kalkan to get to know the area, before we head off to Akbel in our vehicle for our 2-hour trek to Delikkemer – which is a marvellous example of Roman aqueduct close to Patara. There, our vehicle meets us for a ride to the ancient town of Patara. According to rumors and some search, it is said to have been a much bigger city than Ephesus but was almost entirely buried under dunes. Once we have explored the ruins and taken a stroll on the beautiful sandy beach right beside them, we get transferred to Sidyma village for an authentic lunch and a brief narrative of the historical site in it. Our walk towards Bogazici village coincides our path with our vehicle once again, which will take us to dinner and then to our hotel for an overnight stay.

Our early-morning pick-up will be followed by a transfer to Alinca, where we will descend to Kabak village for soothing views of the Kabak Beach. Naturally-perfect acoustics of the valley will allow us to hear the sound of waves hitting the land. As we walk on, we will pass through quite a few natural springs and forests full of various bounties including strawberry trees. While we do that, we stay sharp to locate Delikkaya – an oddly famous, large rock with a hole in it. Upon exiting the forests our path takes a rather “straight” shape, letting us have a relaxing walk towards Faralya village while making the best of our time accompanied by magnificent views of the coast. Finally we arrive in the village which is famous for its pdelicious fruit and vegetable produce, for today’s overnight stay.

Lycian Trail Walk This will be the widely-known part of the Lycian Trail, as we begin our trek from Faralya to Ovacik. Oludeniz (Blue Lagoon) will hold our way throughout the way, giving us numerous chances for taking amazing photographs. After we have our lunch in the form of a proper picnic in the middle of a unique atmosphere, we meet up with our vehicle for touring Oludeniz and Kaya Village. Later on we end up at our hotel, where you may take an optional Turkish bath session as a reward to your physique which got you so far on this adventure. You can also pay a visit to Fethiye which is close-by, for a final shopping of souvenirs or a walk on the beachfront.
