Linda is a senior year university student from Los Angeles, United States of America. Since childhood she has been privileged and has lived through all sorts of comfort thanks to the constant support of her parents. This comfort has included her daily life, especially considering the fact that she lives in a technologically superior city where pretty much everything is automated with the latest advances. Lately, however, Linda has been growing tired of the artificial walls surrounding every aspect of her days. It feels cold and made up – the exact opposite of what she wishes to experience, to become a part of. So she does a little bit of a research and finds out about Travel Booking Turkey by Imperial Travel Turkey – of whose TripAdvisor reviews reflect a true desire to have their clients experience authentic trips where they can reconnect with nature and their inner selves. She gets in contact with them and thus begins Linda’s Lycian Trail Walk in Turkey – the cradle of civilizations.
As she arrives in Istanbul which is the city that is considered the ultimate travel hub of Europe (and to domestic locations), she takes the 1-hour flight to Antalya which has been pre-arranged by her travel agent who kept in touch with her throughout the set up and booking processes for Linda’s Lycian Trail Walk. Before long, she lands in Antalya and is greeted by the smiling faces of Imperial Travel Turkey staff who take her to the rural part of the province which happens to be the starting point. There, she meets her guide and the rest of the group who are briefed and prepared with everything they may need throughout their journey. To warm up, they have a short 3-km trek to Cinbiz Bay for a delicious picnic lunch. After a little bit of sightseeing during a 4-km trek, they end the day in the authentic coastal village of Yayla Kuzudere in a beautiful setting by the sea for a good night’s rest. Next day, they begin their ascend on Mount Tahtali for a real test of stamina. As they approach the summit, they observe, photograph and enjoy a stunning variety of wonderful panoramas and glimpses of soaring birds of prey. They end the day in yet another coastal village on the other side of the mountain; Cirali where they have a night cap by the bonfire. The third day begins right at their doorstep at Gelidonia Lighthouse which marks the starting point of today’s trek through Karaoz and Ucagiz settlements before visiting the epic ancient sunken city of Kekova and get a well-deserved overnight stay in Ucagiz after they get some swim time. Day four pushes them to the ancient hilltop settlements of Aperlae and Appalonia which ends in Kalkan for some more gorgeous sightseeing. The fifth day focuses on both natural and historical visiting as they see and interact with the amazing spots in and around Akbel, Delikkemer, Patara, Sidyma and of course, Bogazici village where they taste authentic home made dishes before a revitalizing rest. The next day is a day of nature as their guide takes Linda’s group around Kabak Village which has perfectly preserved its golden beaches for some good fun under the sun and a forest trek to Faralya Village where the day will come to an end before the last but greatest part of Linda’s Lycian Trail Walk. In the final day of their trip, they visit the world renown site of Oludeniz (Blue Lagoon) in Fethiye for a trek in the amazing region with optional watersports and relaxation. The next day, Linda’s Lycian Trail Walk comes to an end with her being dropped off at the airport for her return home with an everlasting smile on her face.
